How Our Goat Cheese Curds Are Made

Goat cheese curds require some skill and experience to turn fresh goat milk into tasty cheese curds you can snack on. Here’s our process: 

  1. Milking: First local farmers milk the healthy grass and grain fed goats and gather all that fresh and creamy milk. 
  2. Pasteurization and Additions: Next the goat milk is gently pasteurized to remove any unhealthy bacteria and cheese culture and rennet is added. This ensures the cheese will firm up and be the proper texture. 
  3. Creating Curds: Next the milk is cut into curds using knives and slowly cooked more to separate the whey from the curds. 
  4. Cutting Curds and Flavoring: After the curds are separated from the whey, they are cut into the small distinctive pieces. 
  5. Packaging: Finally, the goat cheese curds are packaged and shipped directly to you, arriving fresh and tasty!
